Privacy Policy

Please read this disclaimer in its entirety before using our website.

At BéeAtelier we understand that privacy is important to you and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines the ways in which BéeAtelier collects, uses, discloses, and manages personal information. Our Privacy Policy is modelled after the principles established in Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, or PIPEDA.

Collection and use of your information

By providing BéeAtelier with personal information you consent to the collection and use of such information in accordance with this privacy statement.

Personally identifiable information

We use the eCommerce plugin Woocommerce, which is part of our WordPress Site. Their software allows us to collect and store the personally identifiable information you choose to share with us, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and other information. This information is collected when you purchase products, create an account with us, fill out a survey, sign up for a newsletter, complete a form, enter a contest, participate in a promotion, post comments on bulletin boards, or otherwise interact with our site.

For example, when you purchase a product from our site, we ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information to fulfill your order, including your name, email address, phone, shipping address, and billing address. We also collect information such as the products you have ordered or considered, as well as your purchasing history.

Personally identifiable information that is no longer required to fulfill the identified purposes is destroyed, erased, or made anonymous in accordance with privacy legislation.

Non-personally identifiable information

We also collect non-personally identifiable information with the use of cookies. Cookies are pieces of data that your web browser stores to allow our Site to provide you with enhanced services. Cookies allow us to store products in your online shopping cart, process orders and recognize whether or not you have visited our Site before. This provides us – as well as the affiliates we allow to place cookies on our Site – with important marketing information that lets us know how we are doing at attracting new visitors and maintaining relationships with our existing customers.

If you wish, you can update your browser privacy settings to block cookies. Please keep in mind that some cookies may be required to place an online order and for other user-friendly site functions.

In some cases, we may also collect information from third-party sources, including social media sites and other sites with which we may partner on. We use Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook, and other marketing tools to log when users view specific pages or take specific actions on a website. For example, if you post a comment on our Facebook page or send us a message on Instagram, we may collect and use that information as described in this Privacy Policy. Please note that we may combine this information with other information that we collect about you and use it as described herein.

Your payment information

When you make a purchase on our site, you will be connected to our payment gateway provider Paysafe Group Limited. Your payment information is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands such as Visa and Mastercard. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Disclosure and retention

We will retain your personal information only as long as it is necessary, and for the purposes described above.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

We do not sell or provide your information to third parties for purposes other than those outlined above.

Security

BéeAtelier takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information.

Data sent through our site is encrypted with our SSL certificates to ensure the highest level of security, including transparency, accountability and choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information.

While we take these reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information, including the use of encryption, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  1. If you have previously agreed to allow us to use your personal information for marketing purposes, such as our newsletter subscription, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at beeatelier.mode@gmail.com.
